		<description>I noticed that you do not recommend using pre and code tags together as most web sites do. My framework uses PHP 5.3.1 with XHTML 1.1 and I use my own template parser. I have found that using pre and code tags together, in the proper order as shown of course, mucks up my javascript code. And, yes I do replace the special symbols with html encoding. I therefore remove the code tags and use CSS to pretty up the representation and viola - pretty code. I tried using code by itself but I get the same problem. At first I suspected my own template parser but now I just think that there is a bug with perhaps the PHP itself when it sees code tags. I think that because the mucked up code (javascript) is consistent with all five major browsers (IE, Fox, Op, Saf, Chr) and PHP is the only constant variable in my accidental experiment.</description>
